HI-GAIN carries IP cameras from Ubiquiti (UniFi Protect series). These integrate with the UniFi ecosystem for centralized camera management alongside your networking equipment.
Can UniFi cameras work with third-party NVRs?
UniFi Protect cameras are designed to work exclusively with UniFi Protect NVRs (Cloud Key Gen2+, UDR, UNVR). They use Ubiquiti's proprietary protocol and do not support standard ONVIF or RTSP for recording.
How many cameras can I manage with UniFi Protect?
The UNVR supports up to 50 cameras, the Cloud Key Gen2+ supports up to 20 cameras, and the UDR supports up to 5 cameras. Storage depends on the hard drive size and recording settings.
