MikroTik RB4011 Router — Price & Specs in Lebanon
MikroTik RB4011: The Mid-Range Workhorse for Lebanese Offices and ISPs
The MikroTik RB4011 series fills the gap between the entry-level hEX S and the enterprise-grade RB5009. With 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, an SFP+ 10 Gbps cage, a quad-core 1.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A15 CPU, and 1 GB of RAM, the RB4011 handles VPN tunnels, firewall rules, and multi-WAN setups that overload smaller routers. Two variants exist: the RB4011iGS+RM (rackmount, wired only) and the RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN (desktop, with dual-band WiFi).
HI-GAIN stocks both RB4011 models at our Dora, Beirut warehouse. Since 1990, we have been Lebanon's source for MikroTik routers, switches, and wireless equipment with local warranty and technical support.

RB4011iGS+RM: The Rackmount Choice
The RM variant fits standard 19-inch racks with included rack ears. It is the right choice for server rooms, NOCs, and co-location facilities where WiFi is handled by dedicated access points. Lebanese branch offices connecting via fiber (SFP+ uplink) and distributing to 8-9 LAN segments benefit from the clean rackmount form factor and silent fanless operation — no noise complaints from staff sitting near the network cabinet.
RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN: Router + Access Point in One
The WiFi variant adds a powerful dual-band wireless subsystem: a 4x4 MIMO 802.11ac radio on 5 GHz (up to 1733 Mbps data rate) and a 2x2 chain on 2.4 GHz (up to 300 Mbps). This eliminates the need for a separate access point in small-to-medium offices. The 4-chain 5 GHz radio competes with dedicated ceiling APs for coverage, though wall-mounted placement is less optimal than ceiling mounting in offices with Lebanese-typical concrete ceilings and walls.
RB4011 vs RB5009 vs hEX S: Picking the Right MikroTik Router
Three MikroTik routers compete for the mid-range router market in Lebanon. Understanding their differences prevents over- or under-spending:

When to Choose the RB4011
Pick the RB4011 when you need 8+ Gigabit ports for VLANs, separate subnets, or direct-connect links. A typical Lebanese branch office with separate VLANs for staff, IPTV, CCTV, guest WiFi, and a VPN tunnel to headquarters uses most of those 10 ports. The PoE output on port #10 powers a single access point or IP camera without an extra injector.
The RB4011's IPsec hardware acceleration handles encrypted site-to-site tunnels at approximately 2 Gbps aggregate — fast enough for multi-site Lebanese businesses running ERP or VoIP traffic over VPN between branches in Beirut, Tripoli, Sidon, and the Bekaa.
When to Choose the RB5009
The RB5009 is the newer design with a 2.5G Ethernet port, USB 3.0, triple power input (PoE-in, DC, 2-pin), and a more compact form factor — four RB5009 units fit in a 1U rack space using the optional K-79 kit. Choose it when you need 2.5G uplink capability, USB LTE failover, or space efficiency. The tradeoff: only 7 Gigabit ports versus the RB4011's 10. Read our RB5009 detailed guide for a full breakdown.
When the hEX S Is Enough
The hEX S with its dual-core 880 MHz CPU, 256 MB RAM, and 5 Gigabit ports handles basic routing for a small office or home with under 30 devices. It runs RouterOS L4, which limits PPPoE tunnels to 200 and Hotspot users to 200 — fine for non-ISP use. If you run heavy firewall rules, multiple VPN tunnels, or bandwidth management queues for more than 30 clients, the hEX S will start dropping packets under load.
Key Use Cases in Lebanon
Multi-WAN Office Gateway
Lebanese businesses commonly subscribe to two or three ISPs for redundancy — DSL from Ogero, fiber from a private ISP, and a 4G backup. The RB4011's 10 ports allow dedicating separate interfaces to each WAN connection while still leaving 6-7 ports for LAN segments. RouterOS handles failover, load balancing, and per-connection routing rules natively.
Branch-to-Branch VPN Hub
A central Beirut office running the RB4011 as an IPsec or WireGuard VPN hub can terminate tunnels from 5-10 branch locations simultaneously. The quad-core CPU and IPsec hardware acceleration ensure encrypted traffic does not create a bottleneck. The SFP+ port connects to the office's fiber uplink at 10 Gbps.
Small WISP Core Router
A startup WISP with under 200 subscribers can use the RB4011 as a PPPoE server with simple queues for bandwidth management. The L5 license supports 500 PPPoE tunnels, 500 Hotspot users, and unlimited EoIP tunnels. Each Gigabit port connects to a backhaul radio or access switch at a tower site.
Reliability During Lebanon's Power Grid Issues
Both RB4011 variants are fanless with maximum power draw of 18W (wired) or 33W (WiFi). A standard 600 VA UPS keeps the router running for 30-60 minutes during power cuts. The fanless design means no moving parts to fail and zero audible noise — important for placement in shared office spaces where Lebanon's generator switchovers already cause enough disruption.
The RB4011 boots in under 20 seconds from cold start, quickly re-establishing PPPoE sessions and VPN tunnels after a full power cycle. RouterOS automatically reconnects all WAN interfaces and BGP/OSPF sessions upon boot.
RouterOS Level 5 — What You Get
Both RB4011 models ship with RouterOS Level 5, which includes 500 PPPoE/L2TP tunnels, 200 PPTP tunnels, 500 Hotspot active users, unlimited EoIP tunnels, OSPF/BGP/RIP routing, and 50 User Manager sessions. For most Lebanese office and small ISP deployments, L5 provides sufficient headroom. If you outgrow L5 limits, you can purchase a Level 6 upgrade key from MikroTik.
